The movement is on already. If TPTB want to see us froth at the mouth and try to move mountains to keep the show going, well, here’s the beginning. Even if you’ve only seen the show a few times, please sign. If you read my journal, you know how much pleasure I, and so many, many others, derive from this show. Don’t let this ground-breaking series go the way of the Dodo - entertainment’s not always about money, but about our salvation (to hearken back to that Isaac Asimov quote).

Sign the Petition to Save Stargate SG-1

You bet I signed it. And here’s what I wrote, next to my real name:

“After that fabulous quote from Isaac Asimov at the end of “200,” it seems shameful to turn away from that sentiment. Stargate SG-1 has blazed many trails, and to cut short the journey now, when it’s showing just how powerful it is, is nothing short of crass, callous and unthinking. I sincerely hope The Powers That Be reconsider their decision to cancel this fine series, and to continue to show us our strengths, our weaknesses, and our ability to move beyond and above our limitations.”

Spread the words, my friends. Sign, sign, sign. “Who Wants to be a Superhero?” is amusing, but it’s cotton candy next to the steak and potatoes that’s Stargate SG-1. It does a body - and mind - good.
